A Haitian Creole rework of fly, created in collaboration with Reginald Senatus during 2017's Ghetto Biennale in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The project came about after several trips to Port-au-Prince over the last seven years, and is comprised of two parts: a translation of the original lyrics into Creole, and a new piano arrangement, made and recorded on an old piano in St Trinity music school in downtown Port-au-Prince. The process took several weeks over November and December of 2017, and was made possible by the help of friend and local artist, Reginald Sénatus. The work isn't intended to be a straight translation of one song into another language, but a complete rethinking of a preexisting piece of music in an utterly different context to its origin. The performance took place at the end of the Ghetto Biennale in Lakou Lili, Atis Rezistans, Gran Ru / Avenue Jean Jacques Dessalines, downtown Port-au-Prince.
Vèsyon chante fly la en Kreyòl. Te fè avek kolaborasyon Reginald Senatus pou Geto Byenal 2017, nan Pòtoprens, Ayiti. Pwojè a te parèt apre mwen Te fè plizyè vizit an Ayiti. Li konpoze an 2 pati: yon tradiksyon nan lyrics orijinal, e an kreyòl, ak yon nouvo aranjman pyano. Nou te fè anrejistreman an sou yon ansyen pyano nan St Trinity Ki Se yon lekòl mizik an anba lavil Potoprens .    Mwen te pase plizyè semèn ap travay sou sa a, pandan novanm pou rive desanm nan ane 2017 la. Pwojè a patap posib san zanmi mwen ak atis lokal, Reginald Sénatus.    Travay la tradwi dirèk yon sèl chante nan yon lòt lang, men yon repetisyon konplè, yon chante nan yon kontèks trè diferan, nan orijin li yo.
